Exclusive license means that your book Cover Illustration will never be resold to a third party and is made exclusively for your use.

If you'd like to use the Cover Illustration for other purposes, you can add an additional license to your cover package. See options below.

Chapter illustrations are usually small spot illustrations that go together with the chapter title. These illustrations can be kept simple or be more complex, combining multiple elements. The prices below exclude illustrations with people - to get prices for chapter illustrations with characters, please get in touch.

HOW IT WORKS

DESIGNING PROCESS

READ ABOUT MY WORK FLOW

1. CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

I like to start with one-on-one consultation call to learn more about your book, the storyline, main characters etc.

During the call we will discuss the ideas for the cover illustration and develop a concept that would represent your story the best.
After the call I will create a written overview to make sure all the details are accurate and we have a clear final cover concept.

2. PAPERWORK

If you’re happy with the quote and would like to proceed I will send you a Project Agreement to sign so that everything would be clear and secure for both of us.
Then I’ll send you a pre-payment invoice. My standard is 60% upfront and 40% after the project has been finished, but a payment plan of 40%/30%/30% can also be arranged if requested.

Once I’ve received the pre-payment, I will create a written overview to make sure all details are accurate and we have a clear final cover concept.

3. CONCEPT SKETCH

After the cover concept has been finalised I will create a black&white line sketch of the illustration, that shows the main elements and composition.

You can request 2 rounds of changes to finalise the sketch.

5. COVER DESIGN & FORMATTING

According to your chosen cover package, I will create the full design of your book cover with carefully selected typography and text layout.

This process is more back&forward so many rounds of changes can be requested.

4. FINAL ILLUSTRATION

Once the sketch has been approved, I will create a fully hand-painted detailed illustration.

You can request 2 rounds of changes to finalise the cover illustration.
